Chictapi

Adam Schmieder, better known as his moniker “chictapi,” is a 23 year-old composer and producer of electronic-experimental, ambient, idm, vaporwave, and avant-pop music. Adam’s major influences are artists such as Steve Reich, Oneohtrix Point Never, Aphex Twin, Sweet Trip, Death’s Dynamic Shroud, Kanye West, Tim Hecker, James Blake, Floating Points, Porter Robinson, and King Crimson. Taking such a variety of influence into account, Adam’s own music is both a demonstration of his vast compositional range, as well as his desire to experiment with interesting styles and sonic aesthetics.
